Do you know what students are doing over Spring Break?

For three weeks each March, thousands of Cru students gather for Big Break in Panama City, FL, to hear from some amazing speakers and be trained in sharing their faith.  This year, Cru is adding a second Big Break, in Orange County, CA.

This is what Cru does best! Students spend their days heading out the beach to share their faith with all sorts of people who flock to Panama City Beach to get in all sorts of trouble :).  It is every bit as scary as it sounds, and going out to talk about Jesus with random strangers feels very weird, especially in that setting.  The amazing thing is that God continues to work.

Two major things happen as a result of Big Break:
  1. Our students are equipped to share their faith.  By going out and sharing the gospel over and over, day in and day out, students become exponentially more comfortable in talking about God and sharing their faith story.  They learn that they can step into their fear and trust God to work.  Generally, they come back to campus less afraid and more excited to take risks in conversation with their peers on campus.  They desperately want to see God work in similar ways on their campus.
  2. People come to Christ.  Every year, many many people who have come to Florida to party, leave having personally met Jesus.  As we have met with believers through our support raising process, Jonathan and I have encountered several who actually were introduced to Christ by a Cru student on Spring Break.  Amazing!
You are making a difference in the lives of thousands of students by partnering with us in this important ministry! Big Break is happening now - please pray with us for those who might meet the God of the universe in a wholly unexpected way in the next few weeks - through a fellow student, on the beach, during Spring Break. Thank you!
