The students return from Big Break on Saturday. I'll post a final account of what happened during these four week-long conferences as soon as the relevant information is available. Thank you for your prayers and financial support that empower Northeast students to take these kinds of steps of faith! We went out sharing for the third time today, at La Vela -- one of the craziest party spots on Panama City Beach -- and it was absolutely amazing to see how God used us to reach out to these people. We talked to many people using a tool that we learned about in the morning conference session called Perspectives, which basically has people choose from a deck of cards that describe what they think the nature of God is, what the purpose of life is, what human nature is, who Jesus is, and what the source of spiritual truth is. It's a very chill, inviting way to get people to talk about what their spiritual background is and how that has shaped who they are. After going through and listening to how they would answer the questions, we are also able to go through and share how and why we, as Christians, would answer these questions. Donna and Jeremiah in particular had a crazy three and a half hour conversation with a woman named Rhonda who was very hostile to Christianity and wanted absolutely nothing to do with anything 'religious' in any way. Through the grace of God, they were able to break down those barriers and share with her who Jesus is and why He is so important, independent of all the cultural, religious clutter ascribed to Him. They discussed the Gospel with her and she expressed the desire to genuinely know the God who loves us. Isn't it awesome to think how God was able to call this woman so closely to Him, when just a few hours before, she had been totally unwilling to recognize a higher power?!

We all appreciate your prayer so much and ask for your continued support as we go out sharing again! Please be praying hard for strength and energy as we go into our last few days, for us to see through God's eyes and genuinely care about the people on the beach, realizing that their salvation is more important than our own reputation or comfort zone, and for everyone's sunburns! Pray for all of the people who we have gone out and spoken to, that something we said would resonate in them, and spur them on to seek out who God is and how they can know Him and His infinite love for them. Thanks so much again for your prayers and support!
