BU Student Finds Jesus at Starbucks - Twice!

Ethan is not the same man that he was two years ago.  Vaguely familiar with the gospel when he arrived on at Boston University, it now drives his life.  Ethan first connected with Cru staff as a Freshman because he filled out a card to get a free water bottle.  In the Starbucks below his dorm, he heard about what it could be like to have a relationship with God and was invited to meet other guys in a small group in his dorm.  He came and was drawn into a relationship with the guys and with Christ.

A few months later Ethan attended a regional Winter Conference, where he decided that in order to continue growing he needed to break up with his girlfriend.  He tried, but while explaining the reason, “accidentally” led her to Christ too.  Ethan pursued further training at conferences and projects over spring break and in the summers.  He started his own small group the following year and most recently returned from a mission trip in the Middle East.

There is now a long list of men he is shepherding towards Christ.  Almost daily he is meeting for coffee or lunch with a friend and talking about who Jesus is and what a difference He’s made in his life.  This fall Ethan too was following up a freshman who filled out a card.  He met Andrew who was also a Christian.  Andrew’s roommate, Evan, however was not.  Evan emailed Ethan to ask if he could come to his small group sometime.  Ethan said, “Sure!  Why don’t we grab coffee too.”  Evan agreed. Later, in the same Starbucks where Ethan connected with Christ two years prior, Evan now surrendered his life to the Lord.

Thank you for the significant part that you play in reaching students just like Ethan, Andrew, and Evan with the Gospel.
