Students Put Their Majors to Work in Ministry

14 students from Wyoming to Alabama are coming to Boston for the summer, to learn how to share their faith and apply their professional skills to spreading the Gospel.  I'm so excited to be helping lead the Boston Operations Summer Project!  They are artists, designers, programmers, photographers, statisticians, web developers, accountants, journalists, and event planners.  Each of them has been wired by God to use their talents as a part of His calling, and a big part of this summer is exploring how that could look after college, either in vocational ministry or in the marketplace.  They'll be getting input and guidance from both Cru staff and marketplace professionals in the process - one web designer from Albany has even moved to Boston with his family for the summer just to work with the project!

These guys and gals have all been raising support as they finish their semesters of class, and they're set to arrive in Boston next Friday, June 1 for a two month stay.  Would you pray for them as they complete their support ($2600 for the summer), arrive in Boston, and engage in what promises to be a faith-stretching summer?  Their names are Jimmy, Hayes, Peter, Emily, Renee, Jessica, Mackenzie, Sarah, Jessie, Katelyn, Moriah, Kayla, Emily Ann, and Ella.  Pray for me too as I manage their work projects and housing.  Thanks!

  1. Wow, what an exciting summer for these young students. I'll say an extra prayer for the accountants among them and for you too of course.
